Post by drew4130 »

Started to build a new tray for my GU over the christmas break... wanted it a little higher so I could put a spare under it and also put a water tank and a air tank ;)

Off with the old

put some crush tubes across the top of cab for lights or mounting things?! Down the track I want to make a removable canopy for touring so they'll come in handy ;)

Think I went a bit crazy with the frame but 2 of us can lift it off... I hung it from the fork to weld it all up... still got some uprights to do and work out boxes and taillights etc....... :? ;)

all 1.6mm except outside frame so its not to bad...its shorter and narrower than old tray and will not be galvanized which all saves weight so hopefully is close on same weight when finished :!: a bit like comparing a 3lt to a 4.2 and buying the lightest engine to save a few kgs    ;)
