had a quik search but to no avail.
Is it possible to fit an auto out of a tb42 (not sure if it is out of inj or carby or if they are even different) into a td42. If so what else needs to be done? have full conversion inc box,shifter,linkages,t/shafts,xmember. Do I need a comp to run it or to lock up converter.?
Dont know to much about autos sorry.

only the first roll hurts, then its a ride..
thanx heaps.BENEY wrote:Hey mate, the TD42 flexplate and adapter has 7 bolts whereas the TB 42 has 6 so you need a TD 42 flexplate and adapter kit. You can get manual valve bodies for GQ patrols which does away with all computers and electronic parts which makes it full manual shift
