power steering help

Post by browny_x »

im attempting putting in power steering in my lux but im not sure which way the hoses go onto the hilux p/s box, they both look like there high pressure slots, i was told if i put the pressure and return in the wrong way ill stuff the box so i dont wanna just guess.

P.S, i have a 308 in it so the pump is a holden/chev one.

any help???

Can you turn the output shaft and see which one spurts fluid? My guess would be that this one is the return.

What box are you running? I have IFS and solid axle boxes in the shed?

EDIT: Went out and checked. The return is the port closest to the input shaft. IFS and solid boxes are the same port layout.

Get your hands on a Factory Service Manual, very handy indeed.
