Can anyone tell me wat sort of petrol consumption a V6 Nh Pajero does????????????

3l NJ manual I get around 13l/100 on the highway, bit worse around town.

550 out of 92ltr tank (FARK)
Even with a concave tank and 33's I'm getting round the 550km's (72ltr tank)
Will be taking the car for a long country run on the weekend - will keep on eye on consumption and give you a better reading after the long weekend.

yeh, pretty bad but at this point (mortgage) getting the reddies together is like me getting 1000k out of a tank. would like to do the all singing - dancing tune up but am doing it slowly(too slowly).any suggestions. So far i just clean the plugs etc.POOJAR NF V6 33" MT's 2" bod lift & usual addons for the shopping trolley.

The past fortnight gone, my NL 3.5L petrol auto used 55L for a tad over 450kms. That is all types of driving. Gets better on highway too. That is with the 33's on.
My old NJ SWB 3.0L petrol was shocking on juice. The best I ever got was about 360kms i think. I remember one trip (waterskiing), i was towing my ski boat, full of gear, had 5 people in the shorty and used a full tank in 120kms... For those brisbanites, I filled at burpengary and by the time i reached somerset dam, I had used the tank of fuel.

A couple of people recommended tweaking the ignition advance as far as possible. Couldn't go too far before I got detonation, and it doesn't appear to have made a difference.
Other than that, keep tyre pressures up (less rolling resistance) and remove any weight you don't need.

My NH 3 litre manual gets 14.5 around town (with the air cond on all of th e time) and 12 litres per 100km on a trip provided a stay aroud 90kph. I am thinking about fitting a Hiclone. Any reports of the Hiclone unit using less fuel.
I think it is a sad fact this type of vehicle in petro (i had much rather have purchased a Diesel but there was nothing but rubbish around in the diesels when I was looking. I am thiking of doing so research work on a dyno. I am going to replace the oxygen sensor, advance the timing and fit a K & N filter system and bosh four prong spark plugs. I will then fit a full free flow 3 inch exhaust system. I will let you know how if goes then. but all in all what fuel consumption would you expect out of nearly 2 tonne of vehicle. They use fuel, thants Life.

Yeah, If i took out the excess weight that would only leave me in the car - no rugs or handbrake. Otherwise i currently run without the extras(roofracks, cargo barrier, 3rd row seats, towbar) not much else to pull off it for around town. Plan on going back to 31 AT's for round town to gain some k's. Will be moving to Sydney in May so hope to meet up with Paj owners there and swap ideas etc. Just looked at the Mototcare site - they mentioned apajero powerup kit. Turns out its exhaust related so i'm half way there. Just add the xtractors and i've done wot they recommend.

Gave the SWB it's first long run on the weekend since it's heart transplant.
With 33 muds, 3 people and luggage in the car I got 13.2 litres to the hundred (actual reading will be out due to the increased diameter of the bigger tyres). Most of this driving was between 100-110km/h. (I will try to work out the figures properly when I get time but even at 13.2 I'm pretty happy).
With the mods done to the motor I was expecting consumption to be up. Heaps more balls overtaking and going up hill.
Before most trips I usually take the cap off the distributor and carefully clean the contacts and the end of the rotor button of any build up. Air cleaner is given a clean aswell. Although small I have found this does help the running of the car. I did not check any of this before the weekend and I know the air cleaner does need a going over. Fluid levels and all the normal crap.
Apart from that I just put the foot down and listen to the exhaust fight with the tyres.
