Re: Highflow Holden V8 PS pump
sounds more like a probelm with steering box control valving. The pump just pumps, it doesnt know if you are turning left or rightDIRTY ROCK STAR wrote:it doesnt work? will turn left abit but not right.evanstaniland wrote:how have you farked it? do you run a cooler??DIRTY ROCK STAR wrote:

i to have recently come to the conclusion that holden pumps are shit in a 4wd with flat tyres..!
i did a holden 5.0l into a gu and used the pump that come with the engine without rebuilding it..bad move!!
i exchanged the old pump for a rebuilt one and all seemed good untill i let my tyres down and drove on tar, i couldnt even turn the bloody wheels while stopped and there only 33/12.5's
so next spare wknd i will be making up a bracket to suit my old gu power steering pump to the holden engine!
dont bother with the washer idear, been warned it does not work all that well and is a short term fix!
what truck is it in by the way??
if its a gu just make a bracket to fit a gu pump!

I figured if it was working fine I'd just leave it all Toyota.
but the box is from a 80 series cruiser.

I wouldn't worry about changing the spring tho.
Mick Garner has done all mine and they've been great. The last one lasted about 10mins, Thats what happens when you pay $10 for a pump
Seriosuly Mick's work is the goods!
