Bigger lift on a rodeo

Bigger lift on a rodeo
Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone has done a higher lift on a rodeo other than just winding up the standard torsion bars?
Note this is the first IFS car ive had, i usually play with solid axle.
I have standard springs in the back and the torsion bars wound right up, 45mm body lift, and run 33s with no worries. I just want a little bit more height.
This is how shes sitting at the moment
Any ideas or information on who to talk to will be greatly appreciated or if you have gone bigger let me know.

Re: Bigger lift on a rodeo
Hey mate, If your considering doing a body lift this is worth a read http://forum.australia4wd.com/index.php ... body-lift/ I have just done a 40mm lift on my rodeo and there is a lot to consider, when going over 40mm its not just jacking it up and putting new blocks under it.
longer radiator hoses, the slip joint on the steering collum will need extended, regardless of height the gear shift will need extended, longer clutch and brake lines, longer fuel filler hose, my lpg lines both to the filler and to the converter were touch and go if they needed extended (at 40mm lift)
This is the steering collum spacer that you will need https://id211.chi.us.securedata.net/ind ... cts_id=170, but they also have complete body lift kits inc brake lines etc. https://www.independent4x.com/merchantm ... th=3_32_99. im not too sure where they are located so im not too sure if the currency is USD or AUD or what.
one big thing to watch out for is the bolts that are welded in on the tray, i wasnt expecting them so it delayed my car being used for another day, i did the tray first, then when i had time did the cab. Any questions be sure to ask but just prepare yourself before you attempt the lift, i had a few suprises and i thought i had read everything on the net about it.

Re: Bigger lift on a rodeo
what do u mean flip the ball joints put the upper on the lower and the lower on the upper
Re: Bigger lift on a rodeo
i also heard u can put some lift blocks between the diff and the chassis is this true
Re: Bigger lift on a rodeo
not that i know of mate, i guess you could but i think it would make a shit ride, are you sure your not referring to installing extended shackles? if so you would even this out with winding up your torsion bars, someone correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure extended shackles are illegal. so you might want to consider that with your insurance as it will void it in an accident
