Urgent radiator for 83 Hilux

Post by DUR71 THOUGHTS »

I need one urgently as I pushed mine back on to the fan last night when I hit some water a bit hard.

This is my daily driver so I need one ASAP. Tonight would be good if I anyone has one in BrisVegas.

Flex fans are always pulling into radiators I tryed to get a desperate recore and it was going to take a week.

Major discovery the Surf radiator is longer ( 50mm )and has ony core less but it bolts straight in and gives the fan 15-20mm more clearance playing with carolla and celica fans and clutches can gain a little more.

I now have about 60mm clearance and no shroud and it runs cooler than when i bought it

308lux is out of a diesel? I didn't realise that there was a difference between a diesel and petrol engine radiator. My model number is LN46, is that the same as yours? Sorry it's just that I rang over 30 wreckers today and found only three that had OK radiators.

I am keen to get yours if it is exactly the same. How much would it cost to get it up here, any idea, and how? I have never freighted anything interstate before.

Unless you know someone who can freight it for you, most of the transport companies will sting you pretty bad for a single parcel. If it was well wrapped (bubble wrap and paper or cardboard) you might be able to get it on Australia Post parcel post but I'm not sure of their size limits. Through the company I work for it would cost somewhere around $50 if it was dropped into the depot in Melbourne and picked up from the depot in Bris. Remembering that most transports should take 2 days Mel to Bris unless it's airfrieghted but then big $$$.
Hope this helps.
PM me if your'e interested and I'll see if I can do something to help.
