Nissan Gear boxes

Post by moddedgu »

Are TB42 gearboxes (not Bell Housing) the same as RB 30 Gearboxes?

In other words can I use my TB42 Gearbox when I change the motor to RB30
I suspect the bell housing will need to be changed.

Also is the gear box ratios suitable in the TB42 box to run an RB30.

TB42 and RB30 gearbox are different. Its not just a bellhousing change. The RB30 gearbox is of lighter construction. This gearbox is the same as a D21 Navara I think???

The 2.8 diesel and 3.0 petrol share the same "small" alloy box which is a skyline box with a transfer case added.
