I got a LOKKA in the front of my v6 pajero 6 monyhs ago and have yet to break anything. Gets used on average 2 days a week and doesn't get an easy life. Had air lockers in my old patrol and never broke them either so can't comment on whether they are as reliable etc. But for less than half the price the mechanical lockers are really good value imho.
