help will 97 lux body fit 83 model????????

hi guys i have a 83 hilux extra cab with a lot of mods i want to do a body swap with a 93extra cab or on wards does any one know what would bolt up with greatest of ease

What model is the 83? (LN65 etc?) Think you'll find the later model extra cabs will be different mainly through the front panel - raditor support panel. But not 100% sure. All the later 90's model extra cabs are independent front end. so i believe the chassis is different (mainly in the front section) therefore body mount different.


Anyway i sure someone else has been there or thought about doing something similar

It can be done but what exaclty is involved I'm not sure, I have seen a early/mid 90s extra cab on a LN65 chassis

LN65 is a diesel the same shape as an 84 model
RN65 is a petrol the same shape as an 84 model
LN46 is a diesel of the early shape (up to 83 model)
RN46 is a petrol of the early shape (up to 83 model)
