NEED HELP WITH 110 LANDROVER UTE?

Post by Straussy »

Anyone got any pictures of modified 110 utes? eg.. custom trays, bars, sliders, exo cages etc, how big tyres can you go, how easy is it to adapt power steering to a 3.9 Izuzu Diesel?

Also i need a rough price that they go for, looking at buying an 87' Model for a build up.
Cheers, Straussy.

Plenty of info if you search on here and www.aulro.com

However there is no such thing as a 1987 110 ute in OZ (unless imported). All utes between 1984 and 1990 had an extra 10" welded in the middle of the chassis to give them a 120" wheelbase - so they are called 120s.

1984 - 1990 - 120" ute with 3.9L Isuzu diesel (V8 only available in wagon or hardtop models)
1992 - 1993/4 - 110" ute with 200Tdi
1994 - 1999 - 110" ute with 300Tdi

Only the 120's came without PAS. To convert you just need to swap the manual box for a PAS box, and get a gear driven PAS pump from an ISUZU truck.

Mate i found one and this is the info i have,

It's an 87 Cab Chassis that says 110 on the front of the bonnet, it's a 3.9 Izuzu Motor.

Does that make any sense to you, maybe it has a bonnet from a wagon?

What would be the price for one, it has 130,000 on the clock.

Any info would be appreciated as i am a nissan man.

I believe the 120s still said 110 on the bonnet. Measure the wheelbase (hub-hub) and I am sure it will be 120 inches, rather than 110.

120's aren't very common. I have seen them sell anywhere between 3k and 10k+ depending on condition.

The 3.9 Isuzu will do 1 million ks between rebuilds if looked after, yours isn't even run in! It is easy to fit a turbo and won't affect reliability.

Yours will be a 5 speed LT85 gearbox. They generally seem to need a rebuild around the 250k mark behind the ISUZU. Maybe sooner if the owner has been lugging it up hills in 5th.

Plenty of info here:

95 110 ute on AULRO http://www.aulro.com/afvb/members-rides ... imber.html

AULRO thread on Halley's ute http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-tuto ... 0-ute.html

110's will fit 37" tyres without guard or body mods. But when Land Rover fitted the Isuzu engine they ran the exhaust outside the chassis rail and under the front left outrigger (for body mount). The Isuzu exhaust will need to be routed inside the chassis rail to clear tyres larger than 33" (may get 34" on not sure).
