D40 Navara?.....

Post by Danny148 »

G,day guys,

Its been a while since i posted, but im at the point where i will be getting a new ute soon and my 1st pick would of been the D40 but after reading some forums from this site about clutch problems, electrical problems... i really dont know if i should get it now, like whats the odds that these problems will happen with mine? Also been looking at the hilux and the mazda BT-50. What would you fellas reckon i sholud get or is the best way to go? The ute will be a daily driver, no extreme 4x4 stuff, and to just carry around some dirt bikes in the tray.

thanks in advance,

Cheers
Danny

Dunno. My brother has had one a little while now and loves it. He is a landscaper so it does work but doesn't do extreme 4x4.

I've got an auto diesel one with 125,000 on it now and i'm happy with it - though everyone i know who's bought a manual are not happy.

The auto does a pretty good job of masking the lack of low down torque whereas the manual....well doesnt, particularly if you are going to be doing any towing....

Dont believe nissans quoted fuel consumption figures though.

The lux will be a nicer day to day car than the D40, and not so many issues.

The new VW coming later this years also looks the goods.

My D40 has 40,000 on the clock, the clutch is fine, and the brakes are still ok aswell.
