Post by lux44 »

just fitted a rather large water to air cooler to my slightly tweeked patrol and just took it for a test drive and noticed that the gauge takes way more right foot till it spools up to 14psi. when im just doin 60 ish its only reading bout 2-4psi and it used to be 5-7, is this norm?
cheers drew :?:

i woulod say due to the cooler you are now getting a pressure drop. if you can put another port into the cooler before the air goes into the cooler you should see your original readings.and then you can work out how much pressure drop you have across you cooler

Post up some pics of your system. What setup did you use. Check the simple stuff first, like air leaks from loose clamps etc. Does the turbo sound like it is spooling harder but with less boost level and response?
