1981 holden rodeo build

Post by 81.rodeo.dan »

hi all i bought a 81 rodeo for my first car started of like the first pic and this is what it looks like now with the alloy tray on it the last pics is a photo shop of what im aiming for. i planing on making a extrator, snokle, bull bar, sliders and what ever else i have to. i wont to make a lift kit as well i know how to go about the rear and half know about the front but not sure do i just make a bracet to lower the diff then wind the torsion bar up? im also putting new cv joints and ball joints in the front and a respray.
thanks Dan

from the photo shop i see you want 8 lug diffs (F250) and locking hubs front and rear :D :D :D

but in all fairness it is a good start but what size tyres are you aiming to run? this will dictate what sort of lift you do
is it petrol or diesel?

with 30's i think all you will need is some longer shackles (illeagle in qld i know) and wind up the torsion bars and they should fit
a mate of mine has a mint 81 model diesel and he has some 235's on it with no lift
oh and you will need some strong arms to turn the steering wheel with no power steering

hope this helps
