Hi all,
I remeber a thread with talk about winding up the boost in an MK/MQ sd33t with Sterlo adding some realy good info. Anyone have any ideas where that thread went, maybe i just suck at searching.
Or better yet, If anyone knows how to do it simply, then please advise.
I gotta add, since getting my snorkel (and removing the primary sand filter box, aim getting some really nice performance out of the little MK.
But id like a bit more
cheers
V.

Yes that was some time ago and i even think i added some pics!
The boost compensator on the pump should be able to compensate for up to about 17-18psi boost if it hasnt been touched and your pumps in good nick..
Just remember while the smile is on the dial with all that power, I have broken a crank at the start of my holidays!!!!!!!!! GGRRRR Was running 20psi with top mount cooler and towing.
So if u tow turn ur boost back. Have had 2 broken cranks looked at, Poor design with only 4 mains, the crank gets a whip up and snap. Am about to rebuilt as have spent heaps on injector pump and injectors, just got big alloy rad so i'll stick with the SD.
Will try to find that post with the info you want. good luck

just sent you a PM dude..
Sure worth it for the power, if your not towing it should last a few yrs. STD boost was 8psi i think,
Got other car back to melbourne, it wasnt on a tralier it had an "A" frame attached to the front of it, so to get a tow truck they wanted to send 2. like 600$ But made it back to the house in melbourne with a broken crank and still towing.
