In those diagrams, wouldnt the yellow wire coming from the driving light control switch mean the lights could be switched on even if the headlights are off? Might not be so in line with queensland rules, and the constabulary are trying so very hard at the moment to make as few friends as possible.

yeah i looked at them before...

im running them different to what that is showing. cause these spotties are on my head board, i dnt want to run them threw my driving lights. but run them off the batt and through a switch. so its only on/off with a switch with out having to go through the head lights.

is this easy to understand?

Yes.

It's also illegal for road use, and very easy to defect. Don't go upsetting any policemen.

find a power supply to use then fit a fuse close to the power supply then fit the switch then from the switch to pin 86 pin 85 to earth pin 30 from battery and fused and pin 87 or pin 87a to the spotlights depending if you are using a double 87 relay or a change over relay. for the wires out of the spot lights i would just use some red and black twin core.

make sure the switch is mounted out side the cabin if you want it some what leagal or remove the relay so if the cops or transport pull you over the lights cannot be turned on from inside the cabin.

I recommend slightly different - it's a long story - but the cct diagram presented can give probs.

You'll need a relay and a switch

First - Heavy gauge wire -
Battery +ve - Fuse - Relay (30)
Relay (87) - Lights - Earth/Chassis

Now - Light gauge wire
Headlight (Left pin) - Switch - Relay 86
Relay 85 - Headlight (Right Pin)
Centre pin is low beam

If your switch is illuminated thats always harder.

This is the best way to have NO issues.

This way the actual headlight circuit wiring in your car doesn't matter.
If anyone wants to chat earth loops, high resistance points, high beam indiciators etc - we'll take it into a new thread.

you can get arb or light force looms they are easy all you do is hook up a swintch in the cab then plug a plug in to the back of your head light then the standard plugs into that and they are cheap had give more power
