electric fuel pump on N/A TD42
not really, unless is suffering from other issues (air leaks, worn pump, clogged filter).
they usually only put them on the high powered turbo motors because the pumps own lift pump struggles to pump enough fuel up.
tho still handy, especially for sorting air leaks and filling filters when changing filters.

Your motor will rev alot more freely and lose that 2-3 grand stutter alot of them tend to suffer from.
When I fitted mine I found 3 fuel leaks from lines which would of been drawing in air previously.
I used a 6psi Walbro pump which will flow if power is lost.
Its a good mod for any diesel imo.
cheers

power gains - yes i got a much better reving motor = more usuable power, not massive but deffinatly noticeable for me.
I used a facet pump, whilst yes its not as high litre per min than others, I think its more than adaquate for n/a. There is no need to fit by-pass as it free flows without much if any restriction with power off.

holley red is a common choice, i went this route and by f!ck its noisy...there was a thread a few months ago that suggested a better pump to use...
see if i can find it..

there we go...
i must make the point, that while the pump is so noisy at idle, i dont hear it once im moving, and also, its not noisy while the filter is empty, its once it comes up to pressure and is sitting there not moving any fuel. so whether u dont hear it moving because it actually runs quietly, or because theres too much other noise i dont know, but i garrantee at idle its a noisy prick...
