if you want a 12v for the fan and engine coolant for the heat, there are aftermarket ones around, there was a thread about this a while ago.
if you want a 12v source to provide the heat, to my knowlege this won't be available. think about the current required. we're roughly needing the power of a 1200w electric fan heater like the 240v ones that set houses on fire(by accident). so 1200w / 12v = 100A
do you want your demister drawing 100a??? i think this is why they all run a 12v fan but take heat from the engine.
please correct me if i'm wrong, because i want an electric powered demister in my comp car that has to be engineered.

P.S those hair dryer things drag swagloads of power (+30amps).
But when you just have to look your best, what can you do.
