quick q is it necessary to disassemble the lower timing case to re-set/unset the timing belt tensioner - never done one before and only needed to do camshaft seals, now one tooth short? do I have to open the lower case? what a mission for a couple of seals :(

so the info is in the archives, it is NOT necessary to d/a the lower timing case however it is necessary to remove the air con compressor and bracket in order to remove and re-set the tensioner piston. which is a bit of a mission.
to change the timing belt it is obviously necessary to remove all timing cases, balancer pulley etc.
