CT26 Turbo's, what difference between models....

Post by flyology »

Anyone know the differences between CT26 turbo's?

ie: physical differences between compressor wheels between 12HT, 1HDT 1HDFTE?

if and what parts are interchangable (and if any machining required)

I think Aussies would know more, Toyota never brought out any turbo diesel landcruisers in the states........

Trying to think of the members name, that has an avatar that looks like a hotrod/t bucket on skis, I recall he has quite a bit of info on cruiser turbos....

Thanks mate, had a look at the Big 12HT build up thread on mud and found a link to some of the info I was after, downloaded a pdf document with quite a bit of info on it, but unfortunately it doesnt have anything on the CT26 in the 60 series cruisers. Might be able to get that locally though...

this is the best source of info on CT26 specs I have been able to find.
It is produced by an aftermarket manufacturer, so it is not fully comprehensive and I dont think 100% accurate, but good info anyway
