Hilux alignment issues. Help please?

Post by Buckshot »

A mate is lookin at an 07 hilux. It has 47,000kms on it. Both front tyres are bald. The dealer told him many hiluxs come out of the factory with poor alignment.

Is this dealer tellin porkies? I found it a little hard to believe.

Are there any other things to look for on a used hilux? Going to test drive it tonight.

Thanks!

If not aligned properly they will wear tyres, just like any car. Get one aligned at a decent shop and they are fine. Also I would be telling the dealer to throw in 2 new tyres, they shouldn't be selling unroadworthy cars.

How was it wearing the tyres e.g. smooth on the inside edge, or feathered and chewed out?
