Post by newbyferoza »

is it possible to fit 33" tyres :D with a 2'' suspension lift and 2" body lift and if so how would the car hold up in reliability terms, would I need to strengthen any components

i think there has been disscussions bout how big you can go... i believe you cant go any biggger than a 32 unless you change your drive train to something that can handle that kind of weight and have the gearing to turn it. and that is $$$ cuz that usually means new engine, new tranny, new drive shafts, new suspension. be prepared to fork quite a bit over to do it.

Why would you want 2 run tyres that big :?:
If u had 33's on a feroza I reckon low range gearing would be like high range with standard tyres
Your CV's wouldn't last long     carry plenty of spares :D
The gaurds will need trimming in a big way
What size tyres are you currently running :?: 33's will rob alot of power u currently have. Even with 29's you notice the difference in power. If i was 2 run 31-32 inch tyres I'd be looking around for a set of 5.57 auto R & P diff ratios.
Also say goodbye 2 the clutch, I bet it wouldn't last long with 33's especialy if you do alot of offroading.

Just my 2 cents worth including gst ;)

Just get something really aggressive in a 31" and weld some diff gears (you choose which) :D

Will get you further than 33's unlocked without even considering the reliability issues 33's would pose

huh "pose" I guess that'd be the purpose of 33's on a feroza (std drivetrain) cause you really couldn't wheel it with any purpose :finger:

The men, who r building my Cabanilos said that it's possible to fit 33" tyres on feroza. U'll have to make a 3" suspension lift, 2" body lift and to cut out arches. (arches is the part of cars body above the wills as i understand). The car will be much powerless but still would run well.

It got lost in the translation. My favorite american quote is someone saying "They are rooting for their team" What, does the team need to raise funds or something???????????? :D :D :D :finger:

i asked about 33" tyres because I saw a feroza with them on in Capalaba and thought if that was possible, but now I know it causes shit to break I might just get 30'' bf goodrich muddies, does anyone know if they will fit on stock rims or should I just get 31" with sunraysia black rims

Also if I weld my front diff, when unlocked does the car still drive like normal with power steering? and then locked does it drive like it is without power steering. Also is this a handy mod if sand driving is my most common 4x4 terrain

go the 30" BFG's. I may have a set for sale shortly, on rims x 5 - $1000.00

Regarding the welded diff... if you only sand drive, dont worry about it. find you'll probably go through CVs and hubs cause of the way sand is driven. Once you start getting rocky ground and find you're lifting wheels, thats when you should consider welding the diff.

And yes, once your unlock your hubs, you wont know you have a welded diff.

Newbyferoza - of course it's possible to fit 33" tyres on your Feroza !!

You could fit 36" tyres if you wanted to !

BUT

You couldn't turn them with your current drivetrain configuration and you would NOT be able to get any flex out of the suspension let alone turn the vehicle.

Anything is possible.....you just need lotsa $$$
