The event will be limited to 20 entrants.

This event would be run over 3 weekends in June or July (or whenever)

Who in Australia has the BALLS to do it and finish????????????????????

so basically looking at over 3 weeks off work in one hit.

I doubt me and matt would be able to do that.

After thinking about that fact,i will be in the same boat.
Unless we compete and then car pool back home and work a few days and travel back up..Just a thought...

i would think the idea of having the 'event' in different areas 3 weekends a row is to allow different people compete, different spectators, etc, allowing a more broad exposure to the sport.

The idea of competing at each location wouldn't work.

:) :)   Back again. The way you could plan it so you would not have to have weeks off work (pity). You drop your vehicle at Rover Park on the way home (back to work Tuesday) travel back up Friday, compete & tow vehicle home (back at work Monday????). Travel to Round 3 Friday afternoon as it would be down your way & home Sunday night???? This would work if you do not break competing vehicle. By the way costs of travel by air is very cheap, so from the Brisbane event you could fly back to work & let spotter take vehicle to Rover Park?????

By sitting down & working it out you will not have to take 3 weeks off work.

This event is on the drawing board. So if your keen letme know.

:) :)  Just spotted Heaths comment, to clear a few things, it is intended to find the best. So the best is going to be the Team with the most wins over the 3 Rounds. If the Event is not full then single entries will be accepted. There will only be 1 class "OUTLAW"

SO WHO IS GOING TO RULE THE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last comment:- YES IT WILL WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

didnt say the event wouldnt work...... I think its an excellent idea... and will be an awesome event...... ... just having to go from one location to the next with little time between would be difficult.

Guess it would show set-up (reliability), and dedication.

Yer, good idea but the one event at Rover park cost me around $5000. So whats it gunna cost to enter. :?: And how close to Sydney will the last event be, cos if its close you will get a shyt load of entrants as in QLD there is say 20 people that may enter and in Sydney there is 200 hard core people to enter. Im not hanging shyt on QLD as in VIC there is maybe 2 that would enter. ;)
NOW ABLE TOO SAY WHAT I WANT WITHOUT FEAR OF LOOSING SALES.
The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.

That would work as long as you shiat didn't break. I like the idea.
I think it is sa bit out of reach for me I would have to build a new buggy and 3 weekends in a row would be very $$$$$$$$$$. Good luck withit.

If you built it strong enough the first time you wouldnt need a new one for each of the 3 rounds :finger:

Yes I like the idea, a real adventure.

For me, the best way to do this would be to take take 3 weeks off work.
But I have already had to submitt applications for annual leave for up until June 2005.

David, if the Slog is anytime after July 1, 2005, I'll sign up right now!

How will the 20 contestants be chosen?

:) :) :) Matt I will give out the dates next week, it will be after 1st. July. I would prefer end July beginning of August. Lets see what happens. This event will have a cash content in the prize pool.

I would like to see the first 10 spots secured for the people that have supported XRCC & the rest open to first in best dressed. Entry fee will be $750 which will include all meals from Friday dinner till Sunday presentation nibbles & drinks.

There will be trophies after each round & sponsors prizes after the 3 Rounds. Everyone will walk away with something.

Hope this gives you some idea of where I want to go with this event.

Like cheezy said, Sydney has a heap of competent trucks, why don’t they get their own xrcc round, like those QLD has enjoyed for the first 4 or 5 rounds ?

Competing 3 weeks in a row will cost big $$$$ in travel, parts, repairs and time off work.

QLD (northern Nsw) has 3 full time 4WD parks that are all extremly keen to Promote ROCKCRAWLING!!!!! They all have there insurance sorted and the terrain is awesome!

We have 3 rounds of XRCC, Qrock @ Manar, and now the EXPO and maybe Mud bulls and Music aswell and now THIS!!!!.

Yes there may only be a handful of "Hardcore" wheelers in qld, but we also have GREAT PARKS and people WILLING to organise comps and also people willing to offer knowledge and also help out, all in the interest of getting the sport to grow!!!

Jamie (fourwheelin) stated a post about organising a comp (in NSW) and got a few replys. MAYBE you could PM him and ask him if he needs a hand!! I know he has Passion to make a go of it!

We (Qlder's) often cop flack about never going to NSW for a comp, BUT when there are non (i don't include Woodpecker as Rockcrawling) in NSW it makes it hard to attend!

So if there are so many "hardcore" wheelers in NSW than why don't they get behind someone (like jamie) and get a ROCK COMP organised!

P.S I would like to say that there are a few guys down that way that are very active in trying to get something started, BUT they can't do it on there own!
