4 inch but the coils are 6 inch lifted.Because they are sitting up higher than standard.

looks impressive but with the panhard chassis mount up so high it will handle like poo on the back . chop the panhard bracket off and lower the chassis bracket so the bar is almost level. cheers lukey

yep have it home now just stripping it all down again to rust proof the chassis and do all the brakes,wheel bearings ect.Will get some pics up soon

im honestly curious - is it better for the panhard to be almost level or level (horizontal)?

i would have thought horizontal

In theory the panhard rod should be level at the middle of the suspension travel. This will give the least amount of movement side to side. However, if your ride hieght is nowhere near the middle of suspension travel then you will get better road manners if it is level at ride hieght but you need to be aware this will compromise handling at the extremes of travel.
So there is no perfect solution and everything in suspension design is a compromise. All you can do is figure out what is most important to you and go from there.
The more I learn about suspension design the more I agree with getting lifts engineered. Any lift over 50mm starts to effect so many other things that really a bolt in kit is struggling to do it right. eg lengthening a panhard rod just recentres the diff at ride hieght, it doesnt solve the problem of the angles being wrong.
93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)

just wondering if you removed your sub tank? was that for the conversion?

did u have to change the brake master?

great progress and flexes well..

any dramas that you found whilst doing the conversion?

Yes mate removed the sub tank didnt really remove it for the conversion the pump never worked so i thought it was time to go.no didnt have to change brake master cylinder kept original.Didnt really come across any dramas bar under estimating how much all the little things costlike brake lines extended, wheelbearings, seals, new rotors,caliper rebuilds,brake pads on so on all adds up really quick

kond,

just wondering how you remounted the rear fuel tank back in.did you lift the tank higher?, seeing as you did the rear chassis chop? any chance of a photo or two on how u mounted it. and also the top shock mounts ?

i seen in another post of yours you were talking about a rear gq diff. is this what you got for yours?

A great job on the conversion, and am keen as once finances allow to get the conversion done aswell....

I think the lowered Panhard bracket broke/cracked on an all out trip to conquer one of the hills just out of Darwin before he left. I think it was all fixed up and strengthened soon after.
..wrench, wheel, wreck repeat..
