(NSW) Woodpecker City V's Country JLW (Rego not needed)
Moderator: evanstaniland
Sorry about the delay in replying, I've been away for work this week.
This will be an individual event simply because of the terrain you'll be driving on, if one member of a team got stuck the other one would never get around them, some of the gully's we'll be using like the one in the pictures are very narrow.
You will need rego for this event.
The boundary's for Sydney will be West to the base of the mountains, North to Wyong and South to Picton. And it will go by the location of the club, not the competitors address.
The Woodpecker rules are fairly simple, 3 attempts at each obstacle, if you don't make it on your 3rd attempt you DNF. There will be a few winch points on each stage, but some obstacles will need to be driven unaided.
Our plan is to have 4 stages, 2 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, each of these stages will be longer than the entire Woodpecker track at Dargle. All the stages will be treated as separate tracks, so it's not like the old Woodpecker where the 3 stages were classed as one track. If you can't get through the first stage your weekend isn't over, you can still drive the next 3.
There will be no limit on tyre size or vehicle mods and you will not need an engineers report. What you will need is lockers front and rear, a winch (minimum 8000lb) window nets, and the usual safety gear such as an extinguisher etc, full details will be sent out with the entry form.
40 competitors isn't alot I agree, but there are only a few of us involved with organising this, that's the best we can do on such short notice.
I asked the property owners for permission to host this event only two weeks ago and decided to post it up last weekend. Normally the insurance application is sent in 6 months in advance, but we don't have that luxury with this one. The insurance is the only thing we need to secure to make this happen, and we are waiting to here back from them now, it normally takes around 4 weeks to get it sorted. Once the insurance is sorted I'll email out the entry forms to everyone that's interested.
Thanks to all of you that have offered to help out.

Team C & D are very keen after TT but are still chasing a club .
This is definitely going to happen, but there are a few more details to sort out before I can give you the specifics.
To enter you'll now need a roll cage and a winch that's a minimum of 8000lb's fitted with rope not cable. We're also asking that every competing vehicle be twin locked.
If you would like an entry form sent to you when the final details are sorted, send me an email that includes your Name and the name of your club. ruffgq@gmail.com
Please realise that we won't be playing for sheep stations, this will be a great weekend with some very hard stages that are from 500m to 1.5km long! But it's main aim apart from providing a great weekend for those that attend is to raise money for charity, and we can't do that and give away thousands in prize money. So the best we can do is a few prizes and a big gold plated plastic trophy.
There will also be a 40 car event for the marshals and officials that will be held on the harder Black Rat Challenge tracks from last years event, but they will be modified a bit. You won't need roll cages or a winch to drive these tracks. But there will be a 37 inch tyre limit.
We'll also be allowing 50 spectator vehicles on the property as well.
Sorry for the delay in getting the finer details sorted. But it's definitely going to happen.

well i wouldve been in as i got my car regoed again.
but have no roll cage or winch rope.
whats the deal with no wire cable and needing a roll cage now?
is it because of insurance
will the 50 spectators cars get to have a drive and how will you chose the 50 cars?
the pics of the tracks looked awesome and its a shame you cant enter without a cage
