tigerz is certainly waterproof, i pulled a mates apart for him a cpl weeks ago to give it a once over (had never been apart since factory), was all sealed up nicely, no water or dirt ingress, nowhere that it looked like it would come in either

Tigerz11 is the best Value for money IMO.
Well sealed, synthetic rope, great aftersales service and advice, reputable dealer network, parts available and great prices.
No doubt that warn have a good rep but their water resistance lets them down i feel.

both the Mako and Tigerz11 products are up their in terms of value for money.
The Makos seem to be more refined in the production quality of the internal components and general "finish" of the winch, which means higher $$$, but bang for your buck the tigerz11 pips the mako at the post.
I would go as far to say that the Mako is giving a warn a run for its money in terms of build quality and overall quality.
THe warn XP9.5 is a faster winch compared to the Mako TDS 9.5, so if you are looking for outright speed, build quality and reputation then the warn would be the pick....
confused yet?
