Hi all,
i am looking for somebody, that can build me two output shafts.
First one is an output shaft that needs to be milled down, shortend und resplined.
It is an output shaft of a Nissan Patrol transfer case.
Maybe it is easier to built the shaft from start. I dont have a clue.
The other one is an output shaft of a Ford C4 auto.
It needs the 30 spline on the end to fit the Nissan transfer case.
If somebody knows an existing adaptor kit for Ford C4 to Nissan transfer case or a adaptor from a Chev auto to Nissan transfer case - please tell me
I know there are adaptors from marks4x4, but they are all heaps to long!
The adaptor have to be very short.

ok not sure if this is relevant to u
but, the mq/mk remote transfer has the shaft from the gearbox to the remote transfer
so if thats the case all u need is the output shaft of the gearbox and the tailshaft to the remote transfer
does the remote transfer have a 4 bolt type thing on the front of remote transfer(not sure if gq does only familiar with mq/mk)???
if so then its easy ,if not a tad harder
does the remote transfer on a gq have the drive shafts to the diffs ???

I know the remote transfer case of the MQ auto (T130A or T100L).
But i want to use the LT230 as last transfer case.
It is just the best what you can get - ok the atlas 4 is nice too.
The Nissan GQ/GU dont use a remote transfer case.
It is direct connected to the gearbox like the MQ manual.

He didnt want to do it - he told me to got Marks4wd...
And Marks4wd dont do any custom shafts.

Pacman Is it possible to machine the output in the transfer case out?
If so you could get the tailshaft input from a C4 and have it machined and welded into the patrol case
That way the patrol case will go straight onto the c4 with appropriate adapter of coarse.
Same way you can do an LT. You machine the input gear out and slide a tailshaft input into it (interference fit) then tig it up.
May i ask why the troll case infront of the LT230?
Did you look into going 2 LTs ?
Also what type of c4 are you using? Pan fill or case fill?

i dont have a C4 so far. I am not sure if i use a C4 or TH350.
The C4 is my first choice but it depends what output shaft i can get with 30 spline.
I think there is not much difference between pan or case fill. It is more important to get a 70up box. They have a bigger input shaft (26 spline?).
The Nissan T/C is very strong, cheap and it is chain driven.
A chain driven T/C is build in two parts. The first part is the reduction, the second drives the front drive shaft by a chain.
Hilux have the same setup - but far not that strong.
So i can just cut the second part of and close it up - easy done. But the output shaft is now heaps to long.
A T/C like the LT230 is gear driven. The front/back drive and the reduction is all one part - no chance to use that in some good way.
And the low range ratios of both T/C are different. So i have 4 ratios and not only three.
I thought about something like your idea. Would be very cheap done.
I could cut of the output shaft of the Nissan T/C (30 spline in and out) and use the first piece of the automatic drive shaft and press and weld it together.
But i dont think it will be still 100% in line after welding. And i am not sure how strong something like this is because it is all hardend steel. The adaptor have to be longer as well.
The output shaft of the Nissan T/C is a lot to long and he is FAT! That thing never fits together with the LT230.
Needs to be shorten and milled down. But i think it is a good quality shaft - you need good tools.

All C4 have the pump and the bellhousing allways on the same bolts.
It is only the C10 that have different bolts.
It looks the same linke the C4. Only very little difference.
Your idea is very good but i dont think there is any way to do it like it.
