Yes. This is where you pay your $$'s and fill in all your details to enter. You'll then be given door/window numbers and wrist bands etc.DUDELUX wrote:Is there going to be entry forms at the gate??
No. Just make sure your vehicle is safe, roadworthy and registered.DUDELUX wrote:Is there a sruiteneering??
Rather fast with the rain we've had! You'll get a decent bow wave happening when you compete in the new 'Just Add Water' event. Swimming wise the water is waist level in the deep sections but was still murky brown from the rain runoff. Hopefully it clears a bit by the weekend.DUDELUX wrote:How fast is the river flowing at the moment??
Son of Trials LESS THAN ONE WEEK TO GO
As said before the tracks are looking good for this year's SOT. I think there are a few twists in this years tracks that will challenge just about everyone, especially with the times we have placed on them. If you are sitting on the fence about this year's event well then tip off towards coming on down. You won't regret it.
Well folks I hope you are all packed and ready for a terrific weekend at Son of Trials. I am about to leave and I just had a call from the guys at the site and they tell me the weather is sensational.
Bring some swimmers for a swim in the river.
Bring a happy friendly attitude and compete for some great prizes and a fun weekend.
See you all there.
Cheers Brad

I did.. maybe not very well, but I did manage to get all 8 events done in the one day.. and get the GQ cleaned before walking in the door here at 7.55pm. Long day but a good one!MissForby wrote:Anyone do it in one day???
Gotta say.. the events were a tad harder this year compared to last. Tougher on the cars anyway. And I still hate that Rocky Horror track...
hated it last year and I hated it even more this year!
Ohhh... I did manage to say hello to Dudelux (and his missus) too.
We are back from SoT 2010 and everyone seemed to have a blast.
Thankyou to everyone who showed up and participated in SoT in the spirit in which it is intended. There were no drunken yobbos, and everyone was friednly and obviously enjoying themselves.
Great competition and fantastic participation.
Scores should be up pretty soon. We will be working to get them up within the next few days.
Thanks and Cheers

We got back not too long ago.
Firstly, A massive to all from the patrol club for organising this event. I had a great time, even Mrs D had a good weekend.
Secondly, the weather was really good(apart from the storm we had today while I was trying to pack up everything), but saturdays weather was awesome, and alot of people found themselves at the river for a very refreshing swim.
Thirdly, the borrowed Swampers I used worked a treat on all the tracks, they loved the rocky stuff, the mud, the climbs, the loose stuff, the water, the sand, everything.
Fourthly, I went way too quick on most tracks, but, I was more keen on finishing every track, than getting a competitive time. I finished all 8 tracks, and with the times I have written down, I ended up with about 260points.
And lastly, Ive told Mrs D that Im planning on attending future SOTs.
Big thanks to the organizers for running this event.
Everyone seemed to have a good time.
Myself and Mrs D took over 100 pics over the weekend, they are currently uploading.
