Hey there. What up?
'98 Challenger is having wiper problems. I think the motor is on the way out, because they'll go for a while, then stop. Give the wiper arm a bit of a nudge, and they'll go again.
I had a listen to the motor this arve, and it sounds like it's labouring. Give the motor a thump, and it goes a bit quicker for a bit, then it might slow down again.
I have not got a multi-meter, but will get one tomorrow, and check the supply voltage to ensure that there isn't too much variation there (rule it out).
So now to the question: if I want to replace the motor, can i sub in a pajero wiper motor? Or even any other motor? Is it a generic thing, with fairly common mounts? No-one seems to ever wreck challengers in Brisbane. Alternatively, if you have one sitting around that needs a good home, I'll see you right...
See attached pics for my current one.
Cheers.

Thanks Everyone for all your help. heheh.
Genuine mitsi replacement would have been $800, ex Japan (so delivery weeks to wait), the wrecker on Ipswich road (somewhere) got a 2nd-handy for 125 the next day.
Remove the wiper arms, remove the facia (carfully, the little plastic plugs are easy to loose, and easier to break when you're trying to put it back together), unplug the power/signal, pop of the "primary" arm from under the facia, undo 4x bolts, and wiggle it out.
Reverse procedure for fitting new one. Again, careful lining up the facia plugs with holes, otherwise when you push to click them in, you might just bust the plug, making it useless.
