I have a question for the hilux smart guys.
My hilux was originally a SFA so the chassis has the desired 'hump' in the front. I've fitted a TG histeer and the pitman nut only just catches the leaf pack on full compression. I can raise the bump stop to fix this if need be.
I'm in the process of fitting RUF. The springs are in with 170mm shackles, no problem using the stock hanger so far and the spring pack is flat. Exactly what I was after, low with lots of droop.
The only problem is that my castor is at about 8 degrees. So my question is would it be better to use a 4 degree wedge or use a drop hanger?
I'd like to keep the lux as low as possible, so I'm a bit concerned about using a dropped hanger.
Any advice?

Caster wedge or dropped hanger?

What pitman arm are you using? Flat or dropped? Can you use a flat one to increase your clearance with the spring?
The stock hangers are pretty weak, I would go a dropped hanger and drop a leaf to keep it low.
The other way around the caster problem is to cut and turn your knuckles to suit. Or shorten your shackles.
