seen pics of it done in a troopy due to the owner sick of muddy carpet. I thought it was a great idea. It cost him about 800 or so for a troopy a few years back. should only cost half that for a 40!
and definately post pics
The worst part about being told you have Alzheimer's, is that it doesn't just happen once.
I've already pulled the carpet out of my troll ready to hit it with "Hardliner" which is way cheaper than getting it Rhino Coated.
Just have to get around to ordering it and doing it.
Been without carpet now for over a year so I guess I should stop procrastinating and get it done.

the previous owner of mine did it to my 40... i'd post pics, but the floor rusted out because it acted like a moisture and crap trap...
that doent sound right
we're not talking about new steel here... so any crap you don't get off will make it lift in small sections. and short of sand blasting it back to bare metal, i recon you'll end up with crap SOMEWHERE. if these section happen to be near the drain bungs, or the edge of the rhino liner, it traps water and rusts from the inside out.
How hot does the black get. I know on US web sites there are products with many colours not sure over here though (talking DIY not commercial). I would think if you are not into carpet then it's a good idea if you cna ensure your floor is good bbut a lighter colour might be more comfortable.
my 45 floor is bare and gets hot as hell. I was gonna insulate it all then run carpet. My feet get red hot after a long drive. i guess the water thing will happen under the insulation if it doesnt stick well too but at least you can paint on kill rust first.
when i ripped out all the interior in my 47 i put softfall rubber on the floor. its recycled car tyres shredded up into tiny tiny bits, then mixed with a strong binder and layed out almost like concrete. i put it in around 20mm thick, works great for insulation, sound proofing. its porous so when you flood the car all water can drain freely away, its tough as nails when its dry.
i have photos from when i did it but dont have the cord to put them on here.
if anyone doesnt know what this stuff is its what you see in some council playground floors, or childcare's/schools
that sounds good. with the v8 the floor gets hot as on both sides, and the fresh air vent is busted so hot air is pumped at your feet the whole time. Its in serious need of a re vamp i think.

an you recomend this stuff over rhino coat?
WHAT DID THE MAN AT THE BEACH SAY TO MICHEAL JACKSON?
dont know if i would recomend it over rhino coat, iver never used it or had it in a car. the rubber would probably be alot cheaper though and i guess as a bonus you can put plastic sheet underneath before you lay it so when it dries its just like a big floor mat and you can take it out.
ute liner on its own isn't enough to stop heat and noise.
I used the raptor ute liner on my 40 but then i've put down closed cell EVA foam with foil backing for insulation followed by 3mm rubber matting.
