105 vs 80 steel wheels

Post by Feass »

Hey,

Just wondering, do the 105 and 80 series steel wheels differ in offset, the 80s seem to have a deeper dish on them? i got 4 inch lift and 285/75 and they just seems really narrow on the car like the offset is off. Obviously they are difference stud patterns aswell.

Cheers

Should be the same 0mm offset. So long as your talking GXL rims for both which are 16x8.

Also gotta realize that 285's are a narrowish tyre, and the tyres only look smaller with the 4" lift.

its not the rim offset................... its the fact the cab is almost 300mm wider than a standard 80 cab

Yeah, they are the 16x8 GXL 5 stud wheel for the 100 series. I am thinking about getting 305/75/16's? hopfully that will give me a better outcome :)
