Howdy,
My 100 series TD truck seems to be plagued with "Check Engine" lights... Most (if not all) error codes revolve around throttle sensors.
I've just replaced a throttle body and the jerkiness' gone and the ride's become much smoother.
But the damned "Check Engine" light has just come back on again. And although there is no error code, the scanner shows that there is an issue with the throttle position sensor (TPS) - it's not always reading it as idle while idling etc... I'm not overly mechanical more like an office rat, but I hope I've described it correctly.
The diesel shop told me TPS has to be replaced and quoted $1,050 fitted. The price seems a bit steep...
Is the thing fixable without replacing the whole lot?

TPS fixable?
