how do i work out the offset from my rims?

just want to know how i work out the offset from my rims,
do i measure from the front of the rim to the point where the rim sits on the hub?

Hope this makes sence and somebody can assist :?

this should do the trick
pos offset is to the front or face
negative offset is to the rear or brakes
