Post by DUDELUX »

Can I fit an exhaust from a 2.8d on a 2.4d??
Is a 2 1/4 inch exhaust from extractors back.
Its off a dual cab and mines a dual cab.
I also have a set of extractors.
This is probably a dumb question but I thought Id ask anyway.

Im just after a yes or no.
Thanks

Come on guys, if this is just a dumb question and the answer is a definite no, then just say no.
If it will fit, just tell me.
Someone must know the answer.

yes yes it should, the side of the head has 4 bolt holes for each port, this allows fitment between the two, although i think i remember that the stock 2l headers didnt fit the 3l???,

I know 100% that 2lt and 2lte is interchangeable with the 3l.

its an early 2L so therefore it wont.
early 2L manifold pattern is: \\\\
late 2L,3L,2L-T,2L-TE manifold pattern is: /\/\
If the extractors that you have now fit, then yes the exhaust will fit if the outlet of the extractors are 2 1/4 or 2inch.

How much is the exhaust?
seriously doesn't cost much for a new system
Mine was $300 from turbo back 2.5inch.

Thanks guys, the exhaust is on here and $50, so a bargain at that, the extractors were freebies, genie 4-2-1.
And Dan, I never thought about checking if the stock headers and the extractors run the same way, I just assumed they were the same.
Ill check them today.
And I think Ill buy that exhaust too.
