They are 33 inch super swampers .. if they are the swampers I think they are they are truelly at least 33 inches tall .. (taller than a 33 MTR)

i think i just realised today that my 2 inch suspension lift and 2 inch body lift is pretty much is far as i can go on my coily. As i am just starting to get this massive front end shake and it only comes out of the blue every so often and i have had it up on the hoist the last 2 days and checked everything and cannot find what the fault is with it. spooky mon i had the same problem, the shaking only occured when at about 75km/h i was real pissed off as it occured about 1/2 an hour after

i took it back and they gave it a wheel balance it it hasnt happened
since. owned it for 7 months.
talk to liam from big balls he was doing a 6 inch suspension lift i think.

My problem is that it doesn't do it all the time, it just about happens all the time when i am driving down this hill near mine in the morning. I stop, the vibration goes i take off and its not there. I might be then out driving on the freeway and out of nowhere the steering wheel starts shaking again really violently and i found that if i accelerate through it it gets really bad then suddenly stops. i balanced the wheels on the weekend so checked to see if a wheel weight had fallen off but none had. im stooped

yeah i had the same problems it voilently shakes the wheel the first time i shit myself
had a wheel balance and it seemed to fix the problem also i checked tyre pressures and i also looked for missing tyre weights

Death wobbles

Hi....greetings from Singapore.
We have 'bout 12 Jimnys in our Team and as you'll know they all run on coil springs.
All of us have one form or another of suspension lift from 3"-4".
In most instances even with caster correction bushes there is still a little nagative caster and I believe that it's the primary cause of ''death shakes''.
Till Liam from Big Balls comes out with his caster -correction plates which I believe will allow for more than the 3° correction we get from the caster correction bushes .
Having said that.......a RTC (return to centre) steering damper might help tho prevailing wisdom dictates that it only masks the problem and not solve it......
My take on that is that the steering damper serves to absorb the initial vibrations and hopefully it prevents it from gaining sufficient momentum to result in a full blown ''death wobble''..
Having said all that it's also imperative that from the onset all related steering components are in good nick ....like tie-rod ends,radius arms' bushes, king-pins, wheel-bearings,tyre balance.
I'd think without serious mods like longer leading arms or front axle rotation the max suspension lift on our Jimny is 3" with caster correction bushes.Coupled with a 1" body lift and some fender egde ''folding'' you can run 31" tyres on the roughest terrain with no fender contact.
