Diesel Service

Post by roniop »

My TDt42t is due for a diesel service. I have previously used Berrima Diesel Service and have been quite happy with the service but the cost are quite high. So i am wondering if any one has any suggestions on where to go for a service within a couple of hours of Sydney.
Cheers

repco, super cheap, burson etc etc.....

Buy yourself an oil pan with 15lt capacity, a grease gun with a flexible nozzle, an oil filter rench, a 20lt drum of the oil of you choice, a couple oil filters, a bag of rags and some hand soap.

Drop the oil in the drive and while it is draining grease up and give the bottom of the car a once over.......put in the drain plug change the filters fill up the oil and you just saved yourself a packet and have the satisfaction of having done it yourself

AGREED! Patrols would have to one of the easiest vehicles I have ever worked on.. So much room everywhere!! I just opened up the hubs for the first time yesterday to add some slotted rotors.. Saved myself $200-$300 and learned how to do something new.. Won't ever pay someone else to do my wheel bearigs again!

Well...one thing is for sure...your doing the right thing by not going near bloody Berrima again.
The damage that they did to my troll....and no comeback from them at all..was criminal.
How they can sleep at night with the dodgy workmanship is beyond me.

Cheers Keith

west end diesel services @ wetherill park

http://www.westenddiesel.com.au/

I removed my pump & injectors myself, and had them serviced there and seems to be fine. They have a pretty good setup and do swags of different diesel stuff. Even some OEM's take customer cars there when they cant fix them.
I know of a couple of mates whose cars ended up getting sent there by the dealer
Worth a look just to see there setup.

I havent used them for general car servicing though
