HiSteer tierod hitting sump
Got the the locktup kit installed in a LN106, got 3 inch leaves with extended shackles.
Ive extended the bumpstops allready about 80 mm and the tierod looks to be still hitting the sump when hitting washouts etc.
Anything else i can do except for cutting and high clearanceing the sump?
Thanks for any help

yeh mine hits the sump too on exactly the same truck/suspension...
I have extended the bump stops more, but as i understand you need a dropped front hanger and remove 3 degree castor wedges (if you have them)
I dont notice it any more with the bump stops

3.0L turbo diesel, 4" lift, bud's front housing, track assasin cv's, air lokker front + Rear, beadlock'd 37 stickies, high steer, 15.5" travel ranchos, high pinion diff and coils on the rear
Its not just the locktup high steer kit, most high steer kits will do it if you dont have the drop fron X member lowering the front shackel point. Being that you are changing the steering points to get them out of the way and for easy of steering as in all modifications once you start you will never stop. There always has to be a compromise. Either lengthen the bump stops alittle or continue to modify

I bought a broken 2lte, and dumped it all cause it was no good, it had an auto behind it, i dont know if the sumps are different, i dont know why they would be, but it had the main sump which youd expect but the drop down was not so far foward and then had another extra bit of sump that went sideways, this missed my x over arm by miles.
Could be hard to find and not worth doing, but it is simple solution.

Thanks for all the ideas so far.
The bumpstocks are extended 80mm allready, so i dont really want to go anymore cause it will start to stop up travel.
Dont really want to drop hangers at the moment.
I think its only just hitting when it compressed the bumpstops on hard hits, cause by my measurements it should make contact with the bumpstops before the tierod hits the sump.
Would some 3 degree castor plates rotate the diff enough to lower the tierod at all??? Might try this next as ive already got them
Thanks, dan
