I have a brand new sunroof panel which is painted in the factory Toyota black primer?.
I was wondering if there is any special preparation needed when painting panels from the factory. Should it be lightly rubbed back and then primed. does it need to be etch primed?
Any info will be greatly appreciated!

just wipe down with a wax grease remover like prepsol and undercoat only lightly sand with fine paper if needed ...mostly they are preped good ...also the black coating is very very thin so dont go ape with sanding unless it needs it
