A private brand tyre comes into existence when a company approaches a tyre manufacturer and contracts them to manufacture a tyre for them.
Private Brand tyres, although manufactured out of a certain factory, does not mean it's the same quality as the mainline tyre that is also manufactured in that factory.
The private brand stuff is manufactured with the stipulations of another party dictating what sort of tyre and at what price range they want.
So although the two different branded tyres come out of the same factory, they have different case construction, different compounds, different patterns, different guidelines in the manufacture.
For this reason the different quality is also reflected in the differing price.
The tyres should be judged as seperate identities, and be able to support themselves of their own merits.
