40 series and 75 series axle swaps

Post by Cluffy »

Hi guys,
Has anyone fitted a disk rear end from a 75 series to a 40 series?
Im talking whole rear axle from hub to hub.
Widths seem to be the same and I was hoping this might be another way to get a disk brake rear end and handbrake at the same time.

Thanks
Craig

I asked this question a little while ago. The 75 diff is not a straight roll under affair. You'll need to cut off the spring saddles off and reposition them to suit the 40 series spring position. Not too hard if your a good welder or know someone who can weld.
