Hi,
This is my first post, so forgive me if i make any mistakes.
I have a 2" spring lift, and i keep breaking my left hand tie rod end. Once tackling a rocky track and the second(which i couldnt believe) snatching a patol out of a small bog hole. Has anyone else had the same problem? and Does any one know of any stengthened tie rod ends?

you are the first person I have heard of that is breaking tie rod ends.
What brand are you using, some of the aftermarket stuff doesn't allow for the same angles as the original mitsi stuff does and is generally just not up to the same quality. Prehaps the tie rod end is reaching its limit at full wheel droop or something although i would find this highly unlikely especially with only a 2inch lift.
Myself I have not had a problem with tie end rods. Idler arm assembly's bending is another story, I think i am on the 6th one atm.
I have not heard of any strengthened tie rod ends.
Maybe someone else can help

The Tie rod ends are made by silverline, a repco brand. I'll check the other steering components, but i dont think thay are bent or broken. I have a feeling that torque steer might have a bit to do with breaking the tie rod ends. The left wheel, which is the side that breaks the tie rod ends, seems to get more of the torque than the right. A Diff Lock should fix that problem. I'll see about getting a genuine tie rod end.
Hope you solve your problem, Mad Mac, sounds more expencive than my problem.

Yep 100% agree with Patrick.
Same thing happened to me - kept breaking left hand tie rods.
About 4 times in a row got halfway up the craggy bit on Rocky Track Toolangi and bang.
Turned out the draglink was slightly bent (extremely hard to see when it's on the car) which is symptomatic of a bent idler arm.
Replaced the drag link with a 2nd hand unit plus a new idler arm and all was good.
There are custom chrome moly tie rod ends available though just do a google if you really want them. From memory they are virtually unbreakable but will cost about $400 per side.
You shouldn't be breaking even aftermarket tie rods (Powermax etc) if everything is ok with a 2.5" lift and 33"s. Something is wrong if you are.
