hi all,

can i drop a 5 speed straight into my current 4 speed 1979 bj40 or will i have problems cheers.

One thing is you will need a specific B series 5 spd, which are not easy to come by.

Yep and when you find one, get the drive shafts also as they will be different lengths.

Does that require a mod plate at all? If so can you do that on your P's ?

No mod plate req'd for the 5 speed upgrade.

You may need one if you mod your h/brake though.
