GU patrol manual geashifters, differences?short shifter?

hi there guys

just wondering if there is a difference in the GU patrol shifters within the different models, etc

does anyone also make a short shifter for them?

Short shifter pretty easy,

alloy block, tig weld extended pin on the stick.

Dont go any more than 14mm though, or you will keep catching the synchro's when it tries to shift.

alloy block machined to space lid of shifter up 14mm

cut ball off gear stick and weld on another one from another stick to make it 14mm longer with tig.

Once you look at it, the above will make sense.

You could give Bryan fom unlimitedindustries.com.au a try. His design is far better than the above idea. He has manufactured a complete bolt on replacement so when you change vehicles you can take the shifter with you.
