Blew 2 factory hubs today on a test run in a GU comp truck !
Running big horse power, cal cv s and 37 s
Every time I touch the front locker on something narly I pop the right hand hub.
Are after market hubs any better ?
Any sugestions would be appreciated cheers

GU Hub Issues
If ya blowing the alloy part of the hub, superior engineering do a billet hub, which might help. You fit your standard own internals to it. Dunno what you can do if your stripping the hub internals. Link below :-) hope it helps

run them on our comp truck, they are stronger than the chromo cv's BUT that is a good thing in a comp rig. Especially when the chromo cv's are twice as strong as stocko's. Ben (WICKED) ran a set at TuffTruck this year, and MMM (dave metcalf) ran them for the mayalsian RFC. As soon as you step up to chromo cv's , these should be almost mandatory IMO otherwise why spend all that money on chromos?Big fish wrote:Sweet billet ! But then again even suzuki's have stronger hubs.

Maybe the hub exploding is the best thing , gotta ask yourself what happens if that doesn't fail . Every time I have upped the strength of something it just breaks something down the line , the hubs aren't the hardest thing to change on the track . Had the same prob when car found some horsepower had to change my driving style to suit = think before stomping on it.
