hi have recently installed a turbo timer into my gu patrol and now the sub fuel light wont turn off. i was wondering if any1 has an idea of why this is?

battery disconnected for a minimum of 10 mins (i do 15 to be sure) but yeah it is the turbo timer that does it. And the light will come back on after the first shutdown anyway. Mine is doing the same but i just haven't got to changing it.

Same happened to me with me home made timer.
I thought I'd blown up something.
Downloaded the circuit diagram for GU's, and saw the problem very quickly.
At the ignition switch there are two wires going to either the 'ignition' or to 'on'. I forget which, been way too long since Ive done this, but Im leaning towards the 'ignition'. Either way, both of these two wires need to be fed from the timer. Grab a multimeter and check the power coming out from the ignition switch - there will either be only one 'on' and two 'ignition' or vice versa. Whichever it is, if the timer is only connected to one of the two same wires, then this causes the sub tank error. Disconnect battery for 15 mins, and problem goes away.
When wired to both wires, problem is fixed. Or at least, it fixed my sub-tank LED problem.
The timer that I used cost me about $2.00 in a two-way switch which I didn't have on me at the time. Rest of the parts I grabbed from whatever was laying around. An old PABX telephone from memory....
