4x4 tool kit: Duct tape and a BFH . If it moves and it shouldn't, use the tape, if it doesn't move and it should, use the hammer.

I'd put it in the front, it might improve the turning circle

Yes but because it is on a 4WD you also need to do the twin stick side steer conversion as well, you may require a navi to steer one side when you go out but at least you will have company.chimpboy wrote:As long as you do a billycart steering conversion as well.351ciofgrunt wrote:I'd put it in the front, it might improve the turning circle
If its still the stock VP housing its an 8.75" Borgwarner and could be anything from 4.1 through to 2.78 if the gears have been changed. But in any case it only has 28 spline axles and a very small pinion. I imagine it would be weaker than a hilux diff. Strong enough to run 9 second passes on a 28" tall tyre but not going to handle the torque a 4wd will put on it in low range.11_evl wrote:sure thats std.. he said drag racing ratio.Slunnie wrote:Ahhhh the 3.08:1 diff!bazzle wrote:Ahh... a DRAG racing ratio
so it will be 3.55:1
Im here for the sausage!
champ our exchange rate is good.
if you cant afford an air locker, get online buy a lockright from the states.
i ran one for a while and no complaints it is what it is.
with conversions etc, if you have to ask about it then you dont have the skills to do it yourself, so just buy a lockright. my 2c.
