swap gu autolocking hubs for gq manuals

have a mate who has a gu with autos and has broken one i was wondering if anyone has fitted gq manual ones to it as i have a couple spare and want to help him out but dont really have the time to sit down and pull it all apart to see what what happens

GQ manual locking hubs do bolt up to the gu diffs, however you need to swap over a washer and the drive gear off the gq diff into the gu one before you swap hubs over. The genuine nissan GQ locking hubs are stronger than the auto locking hubs to which is a bonus. If you need a diagram of what parts im talking about then go to patrol4x4.com and go into the y60/GQ section and search "GQ hubs onto GU diff". I just happen to be searching it last night.
