anyone put mq patrol rears springs in a lux

Post by 83-mud-lux »

i have some old mq swb patrol rear springs sitting around the back of the shed and im not sure if i can put them in the lux, they are about 4-5 inches longer than the hilux rear springs and there is only 3 leaf springs in them so they will not have any friction and being so long and fairly flat i rekon they should flex really good.

i know i will need to move the shackle mount backwards and im going to run some 200mm shackles but im not sure if i can get a bush that will fit the hilux pin size and the patrol thickness of the spring.

is it worth the extra drama to put the patrol rear springs in or should i go with ifs rears that are tried and tested.

cheers..smiley..
