hi i have a 87 shorty with the L28 and a 5 speed but reverse gear is shagged just wondering if a diesel 5 speed box will bolt straight up to the L28? any help on this will muchly appreciated

input shafts will need to be swapped over...... otherwise same box

is there much involved in swapping the input shaft over any mods or anything?

I think the shifter tops are different between the factory L28 5sp and diesel 5 sp
I stand corrected if im wrong. No not to much trouble to swap

Swap top cover, bell housing and input shaft(you can only do this with L28 5 speed and N/A SD33 5 speed gearbox), everything else is the same.

was there a n/a sd33 5 speed ???
i thought all sd33 n/a s were 4 speed
and the sd33t were all 5 speed
